The Serengeti National Park is world famous for the annual migration where over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras migrate south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then travel west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. Leopard, Lion and cheetah are also widespread as well as a huge concentration of gazelles
