Olakira Camp

Olakira Camp is an intimate bush camp that moves through the southern and central Serengeti, in areas of great wildlife concentration.

From December to March, the Great Migration takes place and the camp is in the southern Serengeti, which is famous for the endless grasslands or Serengeti plains. During June to November the camp moves up to the central Serengeti, where the concentration of animals is denser at this time. The central Serengeti valley offers varied landscapes and a very high density of game year round.

Staying at Olakira Camp is all about the safari experience and not about luxury. The tents are comfortable and have ensuite bathrooms and there are two general common areas. Fantastic, home cooked meals are served in the dining tent or in a private location: your own veranda or under the Serengeti stars

Day 1
Arrive at Seronera Airstrip where you will be met and transferred to Olakira Camp. Settle into your tent and in the late afternoon, set out on a game drive in search of wildlife. Stop for a sundowner drink on the way back and return to camp for dinner and overnight
Day 2
A full day with a morning and afternoon game drive
Day 3
A full day with a morning and afternoon game drive
Day 4
Depart after breakfast for your onward journey


Access and Distance

  • Local flights from Seronera Airstrip in the Serengeti or by road from your previous destination

Accommodation

  • 6 spacious and comfortable tents with large king-size or twin beds and convenient bathrooms. Each tent has its own private verandah with an amazing view overlooking the Serengeti. Bathrooms are extremely comfortable for a mobile camp, with shower, wash basin and an environmentally friendly toilet
