Today you will begin your journey along the Garden Route, with your first stop at the Oudtshoorn Hotel & Resort. Situated in the centre of Oudtshoorn, this hotel features comfortable rooms, a fine restaurant.

Day 6
Leave Oudtshoorn Hotel to head for Knysna, you may want to stop at the Cango Caves and Cango Wildlife Ranch on the way. Arrive at Belvidere Manor, a small resort within Knysna. The hotel offers comfort in relaxed surroundings and guests are accommodated in Cape-style cottages, each individually decorated, offering a comfortable lounge with fireplace, en suite bedrooms, kitchen and wide verandahs with beautiful views. The hotel is set amidst lush gardens and over looking the beautiful lagoon

Take the day to explore the Knysna area.

Day 8
Drive to Port Elizabeth and return your car before catch an onward flight to Johannesburg. Collect a new vehicle on arrival in Johannesburg and travel to your hotel. Overnight at the Southern Sun Grayston Hotel, located within Sandton, an up-market area north of Johannesburg. The Southern Sun Grayston offers elegantly appointed bedrooms, and the informal Continental Restaurant offers an international buffet.

Day 9
Depart for an approximately 5-6-hour drive to Kapama for a three-night full board stay at the Kapama River Lodge, which overlooks a lake in the heart of some 30,000 acres of bushveld. Situated within Kapama Game Reserve, the lodge presents the perfect blend between luxurious accommodation with thatched roofs that ensure that comfortable temperatures are maintained throughout the year.

Day 12
After a morning game drive and breakfast, depart from Kapama Game Lodge on the Panorama Route, to pass via the Bourkes Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon and Pilgrims Rest. Arrive at Walkerson’s Country Manor for dinner and to spend the night. The manor resembles a Scottish country estate, and is surrounded by streams, rivers and lakes. All the 21 suites have log fireplaces and private lake-view patios.
Day 13
Leave Walkerson’s Country Manor to drive back to Johannesburg to return your hire car and catch your return flight.
