Day 1
Arrive Cape Town International airport and collect your hire car and drive into Cape Town
Stay overnight at the Mount Nelson Hotel for a four night stay in a superior room. The hotel is at the base of Table Mountain and has easy access to the centre of Cape Town and its beaches along with the Table Mountain cableway and the National Botanical Gardens.
Day 2
Spend the day exploring Cape Town.
Spend a second night at the Mount Nelson Hotel.
Day 3
Spend another day discovering Cape Town and the surrounding area.
Overnight at the Mount Nelson Hotel.
Day 4
Full day to explore the Cape Town area.
Overnight at the Mount Nelson Hotel.
Day 5
Commence your journey along the Garden Route, with your first stop at the Rosenhof Country Lodge, which dates to 1852 and has been carefully restored and furnished with South African art and fine antiques. The lodge’s 12 air-conditioned guestrooms are built around an open courtyard.

Day 6
Leave Rosenhof to head for Knysna, with a stop at the Cango Caves and Cango Wildlife Ranch on the way. Book into a deluxe suite at the St James Hotel, an owner run, five-star country house. Luxuriously appointed suites with antique furniture have of the gardens of across the lagoon towards Knysna Heads.
Day 7
Take the day to explore the Knysna area.

Day 8
Drive to Port Elizabeth and return your car before catch an onward flight to Johannesburg. Collect a new vehicle on arrival in Johannesburg and travel to your hotel. Overnight at the five star D’Oréale Grande, a palatial hotel surrounded by gardens, fountains and statues.
Day 9
Depart for an approximately 5-6-hour drive to Kapama for a three-night full board stay at the Kapama Game Lodge, which overlooks a lake in the heart of some 30,000 acres of bushveld. The 20 20 air-conditioned thatched chalets are surrounded by gardens and timber walkways. A teak leisure deck makes for an ideal location for wildlife spotting over a refreshing drink. Kapama Reserve is home to a wide variety of wildlife including the ‘Big Five’ of lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhinoceros. Game drives and guided walking tours are offered each day and the reserve contains the Hoedspruit Research and Breeding Centre for Endangered Species where you can see endangered species like the King Cheetah and Wild Dog. Day 12
After a morning game drive and breakfast, depart from Kapama Game Lodge on the Panorama Route, to pass via the Bourkes Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon and Pilgrims Rest. Arrive at Walkerson’s Country Manor for dinner and to spend the night. The manor resembles a Scottish country estate, and is surrounded by streams, rivers and lakes. All the 21 suites have log fireplaces and private lake-view patios.
Day 13
Leave Walkerson’s Country Manor to drive back to Johannesburg to return your hire car and catch your return flight.
