Franschoek is the food and wine heartland of the Western Cape. Located between towering mountains with spectacular vineyards covering the slopes. Settled 300 years ago by the Huguenots, who brought with them their age-old French wine and food culture. In the heart of the Cape Winelands, Stellenbosch is famous not only for it’s wine but for it’s picturesque beauty. The second oldest town in South Africa and is also known as ’Eikestad’ (Town of Oaks), with its valleys, mountains, rivers and forests.
