Experience the best of South Africa with our small, escorted tour which takes in the
cosmopolitan city of Cape Town, including a city tour , a full day Cape Peninsula Tour
and time at leisure to explore. Travel up to Johannesburg where you will depart for the
Panorama Route, encompassing some of the country’s most spectacular scenery, including the
Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the awesome views from God’s Window. You
will also visit the gold rush town of Pilgrim’s Rest that has been painstakingly restored to give
visitors a glimpse of the town as it was in its heyday! Journey onto the Big Five Kapama
Reserve. Your experienced ranger and tracker team will help you make the most of your time
on safari, game drives are conducted in open 4x4 vehicles which allow you a truly thrilling
safari experience. The reserve is home to a wide variety of African game, including the “Big
Five” lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo.

Day 1
Depart London Heathrow
Day 2
Arrival at Cape Town International Airport and met by the local English speaking guide to assist with the transfer and check-in at the hotel. Enjoy a city tour of Cape Town en route to the hotel including the castle, the Company Gardens, the Houses of Parliament and Bo-Kaap. Dinner is included at the hotel. Overnight on a bed and breakfast basis at the Premier Hotel – Cape Manor
Day 3
After breakfast, met by the guide for a full day Cape Peninsula Tour, beginning by travelling along the Atlantic Seaboard past Clifton to Hout Bay and experience a cruise past the seals on Seal Island, continue to the Cape Point Nature Reserve. Enjoy lunch at a local fish restaurant (included) before paying a visit to the penguins on Boulders Beach and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Enjoy dinner at the hotel or in a restaurant in the Waterfront (not included).

Day 4
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a full day at leisure. No lunch or dinner is included on this day.

Day 5
After breakfast at the hotel, the guide will meet you for the transfer to the airport for the flight to Johannesburg. On arrival at OR Tambo International, meet the guide for the journey to Mpumalanga. Lunch is not included. After arriving at the hotel in Hazyview, enjoy time at leisure to relax after the trip. Dinner included at the hotel.

Day 6
Depart after breakfast for a full day’s touring of the magnificent Panorama Route, encompassing some of the country’s most spectacular scenery, including the Blyde River Canyon – the worlds largest “green” canyon, the intriguing geological formations of Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the awesome views from God’s Window. You will also visit the gold rush town of Pilgrim’s Rest that has been painstakingly resorted to give visitors a glimpse of the town as it was in its heyday! Lunch is not and dinner at the hotel.
Overnight on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis at Hippo Hollow
Day 7
On this day, after a leisurely breakfast, continue the journey to the Kapama Game Reserve where, on arrival at the lodge you will be met and shown to your rooms. After settling in join the other guests for lunch. After lunch there is free time to relax during the heat of the day. All guests will congregate in the late afternoon for “high tea” before embarking on your first open vehicle game drive under the guidance or your experienced ranger and tracker team in search of Africa’s famous wildlife. At sunset stop for sundowners to toast the end of another day in Africa, before continuing the safari after dark with the aid of powerful spotlights to, hopefully, glimpse some of the elusive nocturnal game. Return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 8
Enjoy a full day on safari. Your twice daily safaris take place at dawn and dusk, when the bush is at its most active and chances of spotting game the best. Your experience ranger and tracker team will help you make the most of your time on safari through their extensive knowledge of the African savannah. The reserve is home to a wide variety of African game, including the “Big Five” lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo. Safaris are conducted in open 4x4 vehicles which allow you a truly thrilling safari experience. During the heat of the day you can relax at the lodge and soak up the sounds of the bush.

Day 9
Awake early for a final morning safari in this unspoiled wilderness, and a last chance to maybe spot that elusive leopard! Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast before your departure back to Johannesburg to board the flight. *Lunch is not included.

Arrive into London Heathrow
