Namibia and Botswana Adventure Tour

This classic 3* plus standard fly/ drive itinerary covers the main highlights of Namibia and Botswana; a night in Windhoek at the beginning to acclimatise and explore the city. From here pick up your 4x4 hire car and drive south through beautiful scenery to the Gamsberg Pass, midway between Windhoek and the Namib Desert. You can then explore the highest dunes in the world at Sossusvlei and Sesriem before driving northwards to the coast and the small resort of Swakopmund. Returning to Windhoek for one night, you will then fly to Maun in Botswana and head into the heart of the Okavango Delta for three nights at Moremi Crossing Lodge. Here you will enjoy inclusive motor boat cruises & mokoro (dug out canoe) excursions subject to water levels, and guided bush walks year round. Your last three nights will be spent at Pom Pom Camp where you will partake in game drives, nights drives, guided walks and mokoro excursions.

Day 1
Land at Windhoek International Airport today where you will be met by a transfer driver holding a sign in the arrivals hall who will escort you to the city centre. Our representatives will meet you at The Elegant to hand over your vouchers, road map and itinerary and to answer any last minute questions you may have. Overnight at The Elegant – Bed and Breakfast
Day 2
Your 4x4 hire vehicle will be delivered to the Elegant this morning. Drive to Corona Guest Farm for a selection of game activities which includes, sundowner nature drive, horse riding, searching for bushman art and viewing game including Kudu, Oryx and Mountain Zebra. Overnight Corona Guesthouse – Half Board
Day 3
Today drive to Sesriem & Sossusvlei where you will stay at the Desert Homestead for the next 2 nights. Enjoy the amazing scenery of the desert, and maybe take a short walk to Deadvlei, a bizarre collection of ancient camelthorn trees, or climb the nearby dunes. Return to Sesriem and perhaps take a look at Sesriem Canyon before returning to the lodge. Overnight Desert Homestead – Half Board
Day 4
This morning wake early and drive into the National Park area of Sesriem and onwards towards Sossusvlei. The entrance opens at sunrise and this is the best time of day to see the dunes. Overnight Desert Homestead – Half Board
Day 5
Drive onwards to the coast this morning stop off at Walvis Bay to see the famous lagoon before heading to Swakopmund. Swakopmund itself is a fascinating and intriguing resort town, complete with German half wooden architecture, monuments, historic buildings, well maintained gardens and palm lined avenues, coffee bars and great seafood restaurants. Overnight at Cornerstone Guesthouse – Bed and Breakfast
Day 6
There are many adventure activities such as sand boarding, tandem parachuting, fishing & quad biking which can be arranged prior to arrival.
We can also recommend some excellent day trips including the marine sanctuary of Sandwich Harbour and a half day boar cruise for the opportunity to see dolphins. Overnight at Cornerstone Guesthouse – Bed and Breakfast
Day 7
Drive back to Windhoek where you will stay at the River Crossing Lodge. Why not enjoy a game drive or guided walk before your flight onto Botswana. Overnight at River Crossing Lodge – Bed and Breakfast
Day 8
Leave your hire vehicle and take an inclusive transfer to Windhoek International Airport today in time to connect with your flight to Maun. Upon arrival at Maun Airport you will meet your pilot and transfer by light aircraft to Moremi Crossing. You will spend the next 3 nights here to enjoy the Okavango Delta. Overnight Moremi Crossing – Full Board with game activities
Day 9
Today you will take a morning activity, return to the camp for lunch and a siesta break from the heat before you head back out for another game activity returning to camp by sunset - Overnight Moremi Crossing – Full Board with game activities
Day 10
Your final full day here to enjoy some more activities either by exploring the area in a traditional dug-out canoe (subject to water levels), on a game walks or by a sunset Motorboat Cruises.
Day 11
Fly today from Moremi Crossing, further into the Okavango Delta and Pom Pom Camp. Enjoy your next 3 nights here. Overnight Pom Pom Camp – Full Board with game activities
Day 12
Today you will take a morning game activity, return to the camp for lunch and a siesta break from the heat before you head back out for another game activity returning to camp by sunset - Overnight Pom Pom Camp – Full Board with game activities
Day 13
Early morning breakfast before leaving the Camp for a game drive, enjoy lunch before taking a mokoro trip to experience the wonders of the Okavango Delta. Overnight Pom Pom Camp – Full Board with game activities
Day 14
Fly back to Maun today by light aircraft and connect with your onward flight to the UK via Johannesburg.
