Day 1

Arrive in Windhoek to be met by our representative to help you collect your vehicle, and start you off on your trip. Drive to Olive Grove Guest House in Windhoek, a small, personal hotel in an upmarket part of the city. It features verandahs in front of each room plus an open-air lounge, tranquil garden, spa bath and plunge pool.

Day 2

Head to Okahandja, the garden town of Namibia famous for its woodcarvings and then move onto Otjiwarongo and then arrive at Frans Indongo Lodge. The lodge offers excellent cuisine, and overlooks the savannah. Different game species can be observed in their natural habitat from the hotel. Walks and game drive can be taken in the afternoon (extra charge). Dinner at the lodge.

Day 3

After breakfast, head onwards to arrive at Mokuti Lodge where you will stay overnight. The lodge is right next to Von Lindequist Gate on the east of Etosha National Park, and you will be able to take optional activities.

Day 4

Drive into the Etosha National Park after breakfast for a full day of game viewing. Guided tours also available at an extra cost, although it is safe to visit the park with your own car as the roads are very good. Etosha is one of the largest parks in Africa and consists of saline desert, savannah and woodlands, and the Etosha Pan, a vast, shallow depression. Several of the 114 mammal species in the park are rare and endangered, like the black rhino and black-faced impala. Etosha’s elephants are among the largest in Africa. There is a fee for entering the park.
Overnight at Mokuti Lodge.

Day 5

After breakfast, drive through Etosha National Park to Okaukuejo Rest Camp, stopping on the way to observe game at the various water holes. Alternatively spend the afternoon exploring the area north of Okaukuejo or relax by the camp’s waterhole, the best in Etosha National Park, and is floodlit in the evening. Meals and entrance fees not included.

Day 6

Depart for Mowani after breakfast. Mowani Mountain Camp is in the Twyfelfontein Conservancy between the Ugab and Huab River. Dinner included at the camp. Activities bookable locally, while you can also visit the nearby attractions in your hire car.

Day 7

After breakfast take an excursion to Twyfelfontein, Burnt Mountain and the White Lady. Spend the rest of the day by the pool or take one of the optional activities or explore with your own vehicle. Dinner and overnight at Mowani Mountain Camp.

Day 8

Move on to Swakopmund, arriving in the afternoon for a two night stay at the Eberwein Hotel. Founded in 1892 during the German colonial period, the town was the territory’s main harbour for many years. It has several excellent restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Swakopmund is also well known for its jewellery and crafts shops.

Day 9

Spend the day exploring Swakopmund and overnight at Eberwein Hotel.

Day 10

After a leisurely morning continue onwards to Sossusvlei for a stay at Desert Homestead. Enjoy a walk near the Homestead.

Day 11

Head out early for the towering dunes of Sossusvlei and climb the highest dunes in the world. Drive to Wolwedans in the afternoon, in the heart of the Namib-Rand Nature Reserve. Book into the Wolwedans Lodge by late afternoon and enjoy breathtaking view of the dunes and mountains. Join your fellow guests for pre-dinner sundowners on the deck. Wolwedans Lodge includes full-board and activities.

Day 12

Take a day Landrover safari on the Namib Rand Nature Reserve with a picnic lunch. See the dunes and landscapes, varied wildlife and learn about the local people. Alternatively, take a morning excursion, returning to the camp for lunch.

Day 13

After breakfast leave Wolwedans to return to Windhoek to catch your return flight.
