12 Day Luxury Fly In Safari

From: £6,279

This luxury fly drive safari covers the main highlights of Namibia as well as some hidden gems. After your night in Windhoek you will depart on a light aircraft flight south to the NamibRand Nature Reserve. The special attraction of this reserve is the diversity of desert landscapes where mountains plunge into endless grassy plains, interspersed by red vegetated dunes. Game species found in the reserve include gemsbok, mountain and plains zebra, springbok, red hartebeest, bat-eared fox, spotted hyena, cape fox and African wildcat. From here it is a scenic road transfer through to Kulala Desert Lodge with a private entrance into the National Park of Sossusvlei and Sesriem. A once in a lifetime hot air balloon trip over the dunes is included. Next fly northwards to the coast and the small resort of Swakopmund. Here enjoy an inclusive full day trip to Sandwich Harbour marine sanctuary. After collecting a 4x4 hire car in Swakopmund, drive to the World Heritage site of Twyfelfontein with its rock etchings and paintings, an inclusive desert elephant drive will be enjoyed. You will then enjoy two days exploring the extensive wildlife of the world famous Etosha National Park and the private Ongava conservancy. The last night is spent at Okonjima Lodge north of Waterberg Plateau, where you can experience the AfriCat cheetah and leopard conservation programme.
