SaSaab Camp is a small, luxurious tented camp located on Samburu Community land on the Ngutuk Ongiron Group Ranch.
The camp has a Moroccan influence, with Moroccan styled tents and delicious Moroccan influenced menus which have a strong emphasis on the highest quality and freshest ingredients. Guests can enjoy massage and beauty treatments in the privacy of their tents or sit on their private verandah and enjoy the spectacular views.
Activities include twice-daily game drives - which include night drives, walking safaris along the river or in the grasslands, day trips to Samburu Reserve, mountain biking, camel riding and cultural excursions.

Day 1
Fly from Wilson Airport to Buffalo Springs (approx 1 hour), and transfer to SaSaab Camp enjoying a game drive in Samburu Reserve on you way, arriving for lunch. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, either relaxing on your private verandah or watching the birds. Evening game drive and return back to camp for dinner and overnight
Day 2
Enjoy a full day in the Ngutuk Ongiron Group Ranch with morning game drive followed by lunch. Afternoon is at your leisure with a late afternoon game drive
Day 3
Early morning game drive followed by breakfast, and then transfer to the airstrip for your onward connection

Access and Distance

  • SaSaab Camp is best accessed by air and is just over an hours flight from Nairobi into Buffalo Springs (scheduled twice daily) & then a 1 ˝ hour drive through Samburu Reserve to Sasaab with a game drive on the way, or directly into Sasaab’s airstrip by private charter

Accommodation

  • 9 luxurious tents all with en suite bathroom and open-air shower, sitting room, verandah and private plunge pool
  • All tents have wireless internet connection and cooling fans and can fit 2 adults and 1 child
