Day 1

Depart from Nairobi Wilson Airport on your short flight to the Maasai Mara. Met on arrival and transfer to the camp, game viewing along the way. Settle into camp and explore your surrounds. Afternoon game drive before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Early morning game drive before returning to the camp for lunch and shelter from the midday heat. Relax and watch the animals coming to the river or take a refreshing swim in the pool. Afternoon game drive with a Sundowner drink to toast the setting sun. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3

This morning perhaps you would like to take a guided bush walk after breakfast to be introduced to the smaller things you might never have seen. Enjoy the experience of getting closer to the animals on foot which is a trilling experience. After lunch perhaps if you wished you could visit a local village and learn the ways of the Maasai tribes’ people or alternatively head off on another game drive in their specially adapted 4x4 vehicles. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Early morning game drive before flying back to Nairobi. Continue on to the international airport for your flight home or alternatively combine this with some time on the stunning Kenya coast in one of the many resorts in and around Mombasa.

Access and Distance

• There are several daily flights scheduled from Wilson Airstrip to the Maasai Mara, it will take about 45 minutes to get to Kichwa Tembo Airstrip and 15 minutes to Olonana Camp. There are also direct flights from Samburu to the Mara too.

Accommodation

• With 14 spacious tent, each with mosquito netting, solar lighting, ensuite bathrooms, hote showers, flush toilets and a large veranda overlooking the mara river. At the camp there is also a swimming pool, a mini spa and a small gift shop selling local hand-crafted gifts.

Activities and Excursions

• Sanctuary Olonana gameviewing is available from the river just below Olonana as well as the Maasai Mara itself. With experienced guides to take all guests to hidden spots in customised open safari vehicles there is so much oppertunity to see variety of animal wildlife all year round allowing for excellant photograph oppertunities.
• As well as the gamedrives there are chances to go on nature walks with Olonana’s naturalist team to learn about plants, trees and insects.
