Malindi is located on the north coast of Mombasa. Watamu Beach is one of Kenya’s finest beaches and the site of a Marine National Park offering excellent snorkelling and scuba diving. The nearby Arabuku Sokoke forest is a bird watchers paradise and the extensive inland Mida Creek hosts a wide variety of splendid birdlife. Shimba Hills is approximately 33 km South of Mombasa. The reserve is an area of coastal rainforest, woodland and grassland and is home to approximately 700 elephants and contains Kenya’s only population of Sable Antelope.
