Experience Kenya’s famous natural attractions at a bargain price in this 6 night / 7 day adventure camping safari staying in small mobile camps well away from mass-market tourism. The safari starts with 3 nights in the Selenkay Conservancy, neighbouring Amboseli National Park and overlooking Kilimanjaro. Go on a walk with Maasai warriors, take game drives in the conservancy and in the Amboseli park to get up close to free-ranging elephants and see a huge variety of wild animals in their natural habitat.

You then drive back to Nairobi and take a 50 minute flight by light aircraft over the Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara for 3 nights in Ol Kinyei Conservancy. This exclusive wilderness area is in the Mara eco-system, one of the world’s premier wildlife regions with all the animals for which the Mara is famous including resident lion prides, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes and varied plains game.

Morning, afternoon and evening game drives are in open-sided 4x4 safari vehicles, with expert Maasai guides, in the exclusive Selenkay and Ol Kinyei wildlife conservancies as well as a full day in Amboseli National Park and the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

*** Note: This is “Adventure Camping” with accommodation in small 2-man dome tents and is basic camping without the facilities of the tented lodges or luxury permanent camps. It is “real camping” and all guests who book the Mobile Adventure 4x4 Safari need to bring their own sleeping bag as well as a shower towel. High Density Mattresses are provided inside the dome tent. All meals are prepared by the camp cook. Mineral water is provided in camp and on game drives but guests need to buy their own drinks at a supermarket en route to each camp. The big attraction is being in small campsites in exclusive wildlife conservancies with activity-packed itineraries and excellent guides and with game drives in open-sided 4x4 safari vehicles, not vans. ***

Day 1
Upon arrival into Nairobi International Airport you will be met by our representatives who will transfer you by minibus to Selenkay Conservancy, a 4 hour drive, stopping en route at a local supermarket to buy your drinks. Arrive at the campsite and settle into your small tent before lunch and then have a rest before heading out on a gamedrive in the conservancy. Dinner and overnight in camp at Selenkay.
Day 2
After an early breakfast take a game drive in the Selenkay Conservancy and an escorted nature walk with Maasai guides, returning to camp for lunch. In the afternoon you will visit a nearby Maasai Village where you will get to known more about the way of life of a Masai before enjoying a night game drive with a spotlight to seek out the nocturnal animals as you head back to camp in the dark. Dinner and overnight in camp at Selenkay.
Day 3
Early breakfast and then drive through the bush into Amboseli National Park for good views of Kilimanjaro and close-up observation of elephants, as well as many other species. Enjoy a picnic lunch and more game viewing in Amboseli before heading back to camp for a shower followed by dinner. Overnight in the camp at Selenkay.
Day 4
Today you will leave camp after breakfast to drive back to Nairobi and Wilson Airfield to catch the afternoon light aircraft flight to the Mara, arriving at 4pm. Upon arrival at the airstrip in the Mara you will be transferred to the campsite in Ol Kinyei Conservancy and shown to your tent, before heading out on an evening game drive in the conservancy to see some of the wildlife for which the Mara is famous. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5
Wake up at dawn and enjoy an early gamedrive in the conservancy on the look out for the big cats, returning to camp for a late breakfast followed by a walk and then lunch. In the afternoon enjoy another gamedrive in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, stopping off for a sundowner overlooking the plains. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 6
After an early breakfast drive out of the Conservancy to the park gate and enter the Mara Reserve for a full day in the Reserve with a picnic lunch. Driving in custom built 4x4 vehicles, on the lookout for the big cats and the wildebeest migration when large numbers of wildebeest move around the Mara between the months of July and October. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 7
A short early morning game drive in the conservancy followed by breakfast and then leave camp for the 4 hour drive back to Nairobi for your international flight home.
