Camp Okavango is situated on the remote Nxaragha Island in the heart of the permanent Okavango Delta, assuring a year-round water wilderness experience. The Okavango Delta is renowned for its great natural beauty and diversity, a haven for rare species such as the Sitatunga Antelope and a birdwatchers paradise. Camp Okavango accommodates only 24 guests in an intimate and comfortable environment and is a great base to explore the Okavango Delta islands in search of a great variety of animals and birdlife that inhabit this water wilderness

Day 1
Transfer from Maun or your previous destination to Camp Okavango’s Airstrip, where you will be met and transfered to Camp Okavango. Arrive around lunch time. Arrive around lunch time. Afternoon activity. Back to the camp for dinner and overnight
Day 2
Early breakfast and depart on morning activity, returning to the camp for lunch. Afternoon at leisure, relaxing, walking or bird watching. Afternoon activity and sundowner. Return to camp for dinner and overnight
Day 3
Breakfast and transfer to the airstrip for your return flight to Maun or connect for your onward safari

Access and Distance

  • Camp Okavango is best accessed via air to Camp Okavango’s Airstrip, where you will be met for the short 5 minute walk to the lodge

  • 11 permanently sited tents individually situated on raised teak platforms with ensuite bathroom and sun deck
  • 1 timber/thatch suite
