This Discovery tour focuses on the Okavango area of Botswana followed by the Savutre eco system. Staying in a mixutre of camps & lodges, our Discovery safari offers guests an insight into the diverse wildlife & eco systems that Botswana has to offer.
Camp Moremi & Xugana Island Lodge are both situated on the Okavango Delta, with it’s waterways, prolific birdlife & game viewing. Guests will then transfer to Savute Safari lodge, a huge contrast, with it’s dry Savutee channel & large concentration of elephant & lion.

Day 1: On arrival at Maun Airport you will be met by a Desert & Delta Safaris representative for your scheduled charter to Camp Moremi, situated on the beautiful Xakanaxa Lagoon on the eastern side of the Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Game Reserve.
Day 2: Full day at Camp Moremi, enjoying Game drives by open 4x4 safari vehicles in the Moremi Game Reserv and exploring the Xakanaxa Lagoon and surrounding Okavango channels by motorboat, which affords excellent bird watching opportunities
Day 3: Today you will have an early morning boat transfer to Xugana Island Lodge, a breathtaking journey to the heart of the Okavango Delta. You will arrive in time for brunch. Enjoy 2 nights at Xugana Island Lodge, situated in the Xugana Lagoon, part of Xugana private concession, which is widely accepted as being the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta.
Day 4: Today enjoy a full day of activities, which include exploring the Okavango by canoe (mokoro) and motorboat, fishing opportunities and guided nature walks on the various islands afford an opportunity to track some of the larger species that inhabit this water wilderness.
Day 5: After your morning activity and brunch you will be transferred by boat to Xugana’s private airstrip, where you will be assisted onto your charter flight to Savute Safari Lodge.
Day 6: Today enjoy a full day of activites including Game drives by open 4x4 safari vehicles in the Savute area, including the Savute Marsh; and a visit to the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills.
Day 7: After breakfast, you will be assisted onto your charter flight to Maun Airport for your onward arrangements.
