Sossusvlei Wilderness Camp is located in one of the most remarkable sites in the Namib Desert. The camp is situated on a 21,000 hectare private reserve, bordering the Namib Naukluft Park. The camp has been built near the top of a mountain, using rock, brick, timber and thatch and provides spectacular vies over the desert yet offering privacy and exclusivity. The area is renowned for its physical beauty and not for game viewing
It is highly recommended for a 2 night stay to enjoy the private reserve as well as acting as a base for exploring the stark beauty of the Namib Desert
Itinerary: 2 nights / 3 Days
Itinerary Day 1 Transfer from Windhoek or your previous destination to Sossusvlei Wilderness camp. Arrive in time for lunch or afternoon tea. Depart on afternoon activity. Return the camp for dinner and overnight
Day 2 Early wake up and depart on Sossusvlei excursion. Full breakfast is served at foot of the dunes. Picnic lunch in the vlei and return to camp late afternoon. Depart on nature drive with sundowners on the property, return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 3 Breakfast and transfer to the airstrip for your return flight to Windhoek or connect for your onward safari
Access and Distance
- The camp is best accessed via air from Windhoek taking approx 1hr or 5 hours by road or from Swakopmund journey time approx 1hr minutes or 6 hours by road

- 9 chalets built of rock, brick, timber and thatch built on the side of a mountain with exceptional views
- All chalets have large glass fold-back windows overlooking the desert
- En-suite bathroom with shower with soaps, shampoos and insect repellents supplied
- Private outside plunge pool
