Satao Rock Camp 

Built in 2005, Satao Rock Camp is located on the 98,000 acre Taita ranch on the border of Tsavo East National Park. The purpose built tents are perched 80 feet above ground level overlooking a waterhole, allowing for spectacular views over the Tsavo West National Park and the animals that come to drink. This private lodge offers personal, friendly service with exceptional comfort and good cuisine

It is highly recommended for a 2 night stay to enjoy the location as well as acting as a base for exploring Tsavo National Park.

We recommend you combine a night at Satao Rock Camp with Satao Camp located in Tsavo East National Park

Itinerary

Day 1

Drive from Mombasa to Tsavo West National Park, to arrive at Satao Rock Camp for lunch. Late afternoon game drive, returning to camp for dinner and overnight

Day 2

Early morning game drive, returning to Satao Rock Camp for a late breakfast. The rest of the morning is at leisure to walk in the lodge grounds or to observe wildlife. After lunch there will be an afternoon game drive, returning for dinner and overnight

Day 3

After breakfast, drive back to Mombasa, arriving early afternoon
