Family Friendly Safari staying in two of the prime safari areas of Kenya, Samburu National Park & the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Samburu Intrepids is situated on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River within the heart of Samburu Nation Reserve. Known for it’s dramatic scenery and several unusual species, Samburu is located approx 345 km north of Nairobi. This eco aware tented lodge enjoys a fantastic location looking out over riverbanks where herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra come daily to drink.

Mara Intrepids is located within the boundaries of the Maasai Mara National Park and just a short drive from the Mara River where the annual migration crosses every July and August. This eco aware tented lodge enjoys a fantastic location (where most of the 2004 big cat diaries were filmed) with a suspension bridge allowing for crossing into the National Park and viewing over the river. There is also an observation tower facilitating fabulous elevated views into the Park.

Day 1

Fly from Wilson Airport to Samburu (approx 1 hour), and short transfer to Samburu Intrepids, arriving for lunch. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, either relaxing by the swimming pool or watching the birds on the banks of the river. Evening game drive and return back to camp for dinner and overnight

Day 2

Enjoy a full day in Samburu National Park with morning game drive followed by lunch. Afternoon is at your leisure with a late afternoon game drive. Overnight in Samburu Intrepids

Day 3

Early morning departure to airstrip for your flight to Maasai Mara. On arrival you will be transferred to Mara Intrepids. After luch have the afternoon at leisure relaxing round the pool. Depart on early evening game drive for a first view of the wildlife species for which the Mara is famous

Day 4

A full day in the Maasai Mara National Park with morning game drive followed by lunch. Afternoon at your leisure or relaxing by the swimming pool. Late afternoon/early evening game drive, followed by dinner and overnight

Day 5

An early morning game drive followed by breakfast and then transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Wilson Airport, Nairobi
